Where has the year gone? I can not believe it is already November 2nd, that means only 53 shopping days left before Christmas! Have you started your shopping? I have not. I will let you in on a little secret. I.Hate.Shopping.
I particularly hate holiday shopping. The crowds, the hot stores, the piped in Christmas music, the bad attitudes. Blech. I hate so much about Christmas shopping. I am most definitely not one of those people who shop on Black Friday. In fact, I do the majority of my Christmas shopping online, and have for years.
A lot of times, I get stuck not knowing what to get for people, so it is much easier for me to browse a website at my leisure, than to deal with a mall. I recently found a new shopping site called Become.com and one of my favorite things about this site is they offer the top ten gift ideas for all kinds of occasions! This is a tool that certainly comes in handy! They also offer all kinds of shopping tips and guides, some are really specialized. The site also helps act as a meta search across various shopping sites online, to help you get the best deals possible. Who doesn't need to save a little money these days, right?
After my recent massage, there are all kinds of health related or clothing items on the site that caught my eye. For example, after typing away on my computer, sometimes I get arthritis in my hands. The site offers a variety of arthritis gloves that would be perfect to help combat this. Also, I found myself stuck in the middle of a month of snow storms last year, with no boots. I had to drive to a store in just tennis shoes, buy boots, and change into them, just to be able to get to my car. Had I only ordered some totes boots ahead of time, I would have been all set.
I could go on and on about all the great deals to be found, not only as gifts for the holidays, but to help you prepare for the winter. But rather than listen to me blather away about it, I say just go check it out for yourself. What is there to lose, besides your chance at a great bargain!
Do you prefer to do your shopping online or in stores? Why? Do you Christmas shop early, or last minute?
