Anyway, I enter tons of these contests for books that look interesting to me, but usually do not win, unless it is one of those "everyone is a winner" deals.
So, last night, I was at dinner with my crew at, like, the best steak house in Pittsburgh, and while waiting for my salad to arrive, I was checking my Twitter for updates on the UK election for Hubby (if ever you wondered about my dork quotient, this statement should leave you no longer in doubt). I saw I had an email from K. Dawn Byrd, and it said something about giveaway in the subject.
I was ecstatic to learn that I won the grand prize in K. Dawn Byrd's Queen of Hearts Giveaway!
This fantastic prize package includes a t shirt, coffee mug, journal, poster, and a copy of the e-book. K. Dawn introduced me to the wonder of Kindle for PC, and I have the e-book on my computer as we speak, waiting for me to finish my current read so I can jump into it next.
It has been such a long time since I won anything, that despite being in such an upscale restaurant, when I got the email last night, I let out a tiny squeal of delight.
It was a fabulous day to begin with, but this, well, this just totally made it!
